Shared by British Lamborghini dealer H.R. Owen, we can see the revealing of the Aventador's aggressive makeover. With a brand new front end grille, new ultra supportive looking bucket seats with red stripes can be spotted in the cabin. Elsewhere there are new side vents positioned either side of the engine bay, and the huge new rear wing.

Unsurprisingly, Lamborghini is very keen to show off the SVJ on the Nurburgring track following its claimed the production car lap record for the 12.9-mile Nordschleife with a 6:44.97s lap to beat the time of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS by two seconds.

The Aventador SVJ has had a complete aerodynamic overhaul compared to the standard Aventador for improving performance. It’s clear to see the deeper front wing, wider side skirts but the car also features Lamborghini's ALA 2.0 active aerodynamics system.

The Aventador's side intakes appear to be increased in size on the Super Veloce Jota version to feed more air to the 6.5-litre V12 engine and the engineers have also set to work on the V12 unit adding Titanium intake valves. It jumps from the Aventador SV’s 730bhp output to around 760bhp at 8,500rpm with 720Nm of torque at 6,750rpm. Chassis and suspension tweaks will have helped the SVJ contain the extra power to set that blistering lap time on the Nordschleife.
